Join AYN Co-owner Meghan McAuliffe for this 4-part series rooted in Joanna Macy's "The Work that Reconnects" Meg will guide students in an exploration of our interconnectedness to the self-healing powers in the web of life.
Drawing on the wisdom of deep ecology, systems thinking, nondualistic spirituality, and embodiment, this workshop will experientially illuminate our connectedness to the living Earth and empower us to act on behalf of all life.
Each class will include both light asana practice and dynamic group practices from Joanna Macy's work.
Meghan McAuliffe Meghan received her 200 hr. teacher training in Spring 2011 at Dhyana Yoga, Philadelphia in Vinyasa Yoga from the Ashtanga lineage. After teaching vinyasa and yin yoga for several years she started in-depth study of the traditional roots of her practice at Ashtanga Yoga Northampton, apprenticing with Michelle Ryan and completing the 2015 AYN Immersion Program. In addition to her yoga practice and training, she holds an MA in Contemplative Education from Naropa University, where she focused on the relation between embodiment, meditation, and ecological thinking. Her classes are also inspired by her studies in permaculture, ayurveda, and herbalism, linking our personal wellness with that of the whole planet.
