"Best yoga in the Valley, with a calm, safe, welcoming vibe. No pressure, and the most patient, kind, knowledgable teachers." - Amanda K.
"Michelle is amazing. A fantastic yoga instructor and an incredible human being... I'm a paraplegic and didn't think yoga was something I could enjoy. Thanks to her opened mind and willingness to think outside the box, I was able to practice yoga. You won't regret taking a class from Michelle." - Naomi C.
"As someone who studies Asian philosophies for a living (I'm a religion professor), I've always been interested in yoga, but I never really enjoyed going to led classes. They never really resonated with me in ways that inspired me to keep practicing. Then I discovered Ashtanga and the Mysore style of teaching, and my whole perspective changed. Mysore classes enable students to move at their own pace, and allow for a much more introspective, individualized way of practicing. Just a few weeks ago, after a three-year hiatus from any sort of regular yoga practice, I began attending Michelle's Mysore classes at Ashtanga Yoga Northampton. I'm hooked! Michelle is a phenomenal teacher, who guides all of her students with patience and humor." - Connie K.
"I always feel welcome at this studio. The level of pretentiousness is really low. The other students are there for the yoga and the teaching. No one at this studio will judge you, gawk at you or hit on you. Michelle and her fellow teachers make sure that each student is appropriately physically and mentally challenged in class, which is an incredible feat. I'm almost afraid to give such a positive review because I don't want to share!" - Emily C.
"I love Yin Yoga because it offers a more intimate relationship between my mind and body - more than any other type of Yoga I've done - truly ‘in the moment’, almost like a meditation. I drive all the way from the Berkshires to Georgiann's Yin class. She guides you through the poses with a loving, gentle manner (including some poetry and humor), and I leave feeling completely transformed on my drive home!" – Vic B.
"I never thought Yin Yoga would be for me. I like strenuous, sweaty flow...but my first Yin class taught me a lesson: it takes way more strength and commitment to hold a pose than it does to get into a pose. Afterward I felt calm and accomplished, and that feeling lasted for days. I'm looking forward to more Yin exploration!" – Amy G.
