INTRO TO MYSORE STYLE ASHTANGA COURSE

If you've ever wanted to be able to practice yoga on your own, without depending upon a teacher to guide you, Mysore style Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga may be the answer!
In four one-hour workshops, you'll work with AYN Ashtanga teacher Bob Shea to learn this sensible, unique and innovative - yet traditional and original - form of yoga that empowers the student and gives them the tools to become a regular and consistent yoga practitioner.
Mysore style Ashtanga yoga incrementally teaches the student to memorize a set series of postures, so that students can develop a self-practice they can do within the full Mysore community at AYN, or on their own at home when they can't practice in the studio.
The 4-week series teaches the foundations of postural and internal aspects of Mysore-Style Ashtanga, to get you off to a strong beginning for your Ashtanga practice. Each Monday evening we will incrementally learn postures with details and time for questions and answers; then, you'll have the opportunity to practice and integrate what you learned by participating in our daily classes at the studio, at your own pace.
We highly recommend that attendees attend at least two other Ashtanga/Mysore classes during each week of the course.
To facilitate repeating what you learn in the workshops, we want you to do as much yoga as you can during the series, so we've included in the course cost both the 4 workshops and a month of concurrent yoga at AYN.

This series is for those new to Mysore-Style Ashtanga and Ashtanga Yoga Northampton. Attendance is limited to just FOUR students to make sure everyone gets individual attention, so please preregister early!
