Ayurvedic Cleansing and Daily Practices

Sunday October 27, 11:30-1pm

Here at AYN we believe community is an important aid in cultivating personal health and wellbeing. We invite all AYN community members to learn more about the benefits of Ayurvedic practices on our bodies. These practices are the sister science to the spiritual practice of yoga, designed to aid both body and soul, and they are vital for all Ashtanga practitioners to learn and integrate.

Are you feeling a little hectic and stressed out because of the transition from summer to fall? Feeling too busy and as if you cannot catch up? Not quite able to get back into the swing of things? Do you notice nervousness or anxiety? Light, interrupted sleep? Is your body feeling stiff? These and more, are common symptoms of excess vata after wintertime.

-Ayurvedic Cleansing 101 Q&A

Group Cleanse and cleanse community support:
November 3-10

The practice of cleansing is considered a vital part of an Ayurvedic lifestyle, with great potential for improved energy, strength, and immunity, as well as a renewed love of life. At its root, an Ayurvedic cleanse improves the strength of agni (the metabolic fire, more commonly known as digestion) in the GI tract and throughout the body by resting and purifying the digestive system.  An Ayurvedic Spring cleanse is focused on drawing toxins and excess vata out of the tissues and into the digestive tract so that they can be eliminated. While this is sometimes a challenging process, the end result of a cleanse is an improved sense of balance and overall health!

Three Cleansing Options for participants will be outlined in the March 31st workshop:

YOU choose which Option works best for you, for 3, 5 or 7 days. Participation as a community makes Cleansing easier, but you may certainly adjust your personal cleansing dates to accommodate your April schedule and still cleanse with your fellow AYN community members.
