Our daily Schedule of Yoga Classes are taught with wisdom and lightheartedness, most of them in the old-school Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition of Guruji Sri K. Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India, the original vinyasa yoga. We are one of the few shalas in Massachusetts teaches traditional Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga, as it is taught in India.
Our teachers provide one-on-one, non-appropriative asana and pranayama classes, special workshops & events, along with Indian source-text and yoga philosophy group-study series, to people of all ages, shapes and sizes in a welcoming and inclusive community. We teach as our teachers have taught us: following the traditional methodology of Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga.
Ashtanga yoga beginners should start in Mysore, and allow about 45 minutes for class. Arrive within the first half hour of any 2-3 hour Mysore session and get one-on-one instruction. Only a sincere desire and commitment to learn and practice yoga regularly is necessary.
